Four widely-applicable Victor Reinz gasket materials are available in roll format to meet the requirements of bulk users; simply select the correct material and create a custom gasket for your unique needs.
Is your old gasket damaged, with no replacement available? No problem—simply make a new one. Select the most suitable material for your sealing needs from four different types. Victor Reinz offers universal gasket material on an aramid fiber base, with or without steel supports, and on a cellulose and cork base: AFM 22, AFM 37/8, REINZOLOID FS 53, and RGC 257. The roll format is specially designed for the requirements of bulk users.
AFM 22
AFM (Asbestos Free Material) 22 shows very high mechanical strength together with very high pressure and temperature resistance, yet still conforms well to sealing surfaces. AFM 22 consists of aramid fiber with a metal core and is ideal for cylinder head gaskets.
REINZ-AFM 37/8
REINZ-AFM (Asbestos Free Material) 37/8 is a very economical gasket material. It exhibits good thermal and mechanical strength, is highly conformable, and is suitable for sealing oils and other liquids. This gasket material consists of aramid fiber processed with high-grade elastomers.
REINZOLOID FS 53
REINZOLOID FS 53 is an impregnated soft composite material on a cellulose base and features a good cost-to-benefit ratio. Gaskets made of cellulose are very adaptable and prove highly durable in contact with oil and fuel.
RGC 257
RGC 257 is a nitrile rubber-coated cork that holds up well to oils and aromatic solvents. Great compressibility and recovery are the key benefits offered by this gasket material. RGC 257 is preferred in gaskets with combinations of glass and metal.
